In
memory of the physicist and humanist

The Einstein house is re-opened the 18th February, 2013.
However, group guidances from January, 2013 are possible.
The
flat on the second floor of Kramgasse No. 49 was rented by Albert Einstein
from 1903 to 1905. It has been restored in the style of that period
to reflect Einstein's stay in Bern. The site is open to the public.
On
18 April 1955
- about 50 years ago - Einstein died in Princeton, USA, half a century
after his famous "annus mirabilis"
1905, where he, living in Berne, "turned upside down" the
world view of physics.
